Der Nachteil vieler Seniorenhandys ist ja, dass sie auch so aussehen, wie Seniorenhandys – und deshalb von der Zielgruppe abgelehnt und nicht (oder nur ungern) verwendet werden. Gerade in dieser Hinsicht ist der Fa. AGM ein guter Kompromiss gelungen, denn das für Senioren entwickelte Modell “M9” sieht einfach aus, wie ein ruggedized phone und ist damit allein schon optisch attraktiv genug, dass es wirklich verwendet wird.
Zuerst einmal ein paar Worte zu den technischen Gegebenheiten: Bei diesem Telefon handelt es sich um ein nicht-internet-fähiges Dual-SIM-Gerät mit einem zusätzlichen Steckplatz für eine micro-SD-Karte mit bis zu 128 GB Kapazität und Bluetooth. Das Handy ist also auch als einfacher MP3-Player nutzbar. Die meisten “Dumbphones” nutzen heute eine technische Plattform, die Dual-SIM erlaubt. Das ist einerseits positiv, weil es die möglichen Anwendungsszenarien erhöht, zwei SIM-Karten maximieren aber natürlich auch das Risiko der Fehlbedienung. Wenn das Telefon wirklich als Seniorenhandy genutzt werden soll, sollte man das in seine Überlegungen einbeziehen
